President Buhari's takes action over addition of Nigeria into US visa ban


The President of Nigeria, Buhari has taken action over the addition of Nigeria in US visa ban list alongside 5 other underdeveloped countries.


The Nigerian Presidency's official Twitter handle shared tweets few hours ago saying that a committee has been constituted to study and address updated U.S requirements relating to the assessment of compliance with certain security criteria by foreign governments. The committee is to be chaired by the Minister of interior.

The Nigerian government also clearly indicated its dedication to maintaining successful relations with the U.S and other international allies especially on matters of worldwide security.

Pres.@MBuhari has established a committee, to be Chaired by the Minister of Interior, to study & address updated U.S. requirements relating to the assessment of compliance with certain security criteria by foreign govts
The committee will work with the U.S Government, INTERPOL and other stakeholders to ensure all updates are properly implemented.
Nigeria remains committed to maintaining productive relations with the United States and other international allies especially on matters of global security.
