He is an upcoming artiste and also he is a drug addict. He stabbed his parents- Barr. Clement Okhide and his wife Toyin - in their apartment on Afeez Gbadamosi Street in the Ejigbo area of Lagos. They actually died from the stab wounds. This incident happened on Tuesday evening February 4. He also stabbed his sister, Mary critically. She was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Michael is the first child out of 3 children. The reason for the stab is not yet known, but residents who knew him said it might be in line with he's drug habits. Residents around claimed that Michael has been a troublesome and problematic son who caused his parents frustration and bitterness. All efforts made to mould him into a responsible man were all shattered.
On the day he killed his parents, he was seen hurriedly leaving the compound in just his boxers. This made neigbours surprised but no one suspected he would have gone as far as killing his parents.
Neighbours were alerted to his actions when they heard his wounded sister's screams. They then went into the house to find the parents and their daughter lying in blood.
The body of the father, Barr. Clement Okhide, 60, was found in the kitchen pantry with blood all around him. Also, there was blood splattered all over the kitchen. His wife was found in one of the rooms upstairs.
Policemen from the Ejigbo division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Olabisi Okuwobi, responded to the scene when they got the report and evacuated the bodies to the mortuary. They said that they are trying all they can to catch the boy.
