Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu jailed for 12 years

Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment today being the 5th of December 2019 by Justice Idris Mohammed of the Federal High Court in Lagos, after He
declared the senator guilty of  N7.65bn fraud charges laid against him by the EFCC. He allegedly carried out this fraudulent activity when he was the Governor of Abia state from 1999 to 2007.

Justice Idris declared the former Abia state Governor together with his co-defendants guilty of 39 charges which were filed against them by the EFCC.

Yes!! You will be wondering how the prison warders dragged the Senate's chief Whip out of the court..... He actually pleaded with them not to handcuff him in public.

Nollywood Actress, Uche Jombo and other Nigerians are already reacting and sharing their views on the Federal High Court's decision of sentencing Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, to 12 years imprisonment for N7.6 bn fraud.

Some Nigerians are applauding and appreciating the EFCC for trying and charging the Senator to court, while others are arguing that the sentencing is fake, further saying that Orji Kalu will appeal the sentencing at the Supreme court and therefore it will be upturned.
