Prophet Sunday Adelaja who is reportedly married to two wives, he is a pastor of a white garment church in Iwaya, Ijebu-Ife community of the Ogun state. The Ogun State Police Command had him arrested for
defiling and impregnating a 16-year-old Junior Secondary School 3 student.
The Jss3 girl reported that the pastor lured her to his house with claims of asking her some questions while her parents attended a meeting at the palace of the community’s traditional ruler in June 2019. She also stated that she was lured by the pastor again, a week after the first incident while running an errand. The pastor took her to his house and had sex with her again there by defiling her twice.
She also added that the pastor threatened her by telling her to make herself available whenever he needs her.
With time her mother noticed certain changes in her body and conducted a medical test which confirmed that she was already 5 months pregnant.
Angry youths of the community having heard of the incident immediately led an attack on the pastor's church.
Ogun State Police spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed that they have the situation in control as the investigation is still ongoing.
