EKSU sacks Lecturer over sexual harassment

A lecturer at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Dr Aduwo, has been sacked for allegedly sexually harassing one of his female student identified to be Nike.
Dr Aduwo is in the Accounting Department of EKSU. This incident took place in June 2019.

Rumors have it that the Lecturer invited Nike to his house that night meanwhile Nike's boyfriend together with his click of friends plotted against the lecturer, with Nike having an important role to play. They had a video recorded where the Lecturer was caught, pants down, while allegedly attempting to have carnal knowledge with Nike.

The video of the incident later went viral on the campus and therefore it got to the knowledge of the university governing council as the disciplinary committee set up a probe panel on the matter.

The Council, at its 135th meeting held yesterday being the 5th of December, 2019, approved the recommendations of the Disciplinary Committee (Academic) that recommended his prompt dismissal.

The comittee verified the alarming and shocking evidence laid against him and invited him to clear himself. He admitted to the allegations and confirmed the authenticity of the report of the recommendations of the preliminary panels before which he appeared, so therefore he was sacked.
