A hotel believed to be a hideout for internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys), was raided yesterday by EFCC operatives
They arrested 27 suspected yahoo boys including the kingpin identified by the agency to be Rasaq Balogun, whose criminal activities dominated information gathered from recently arrested police spies at Abeokuta. Recent findings have it that Balogun has an army of young boys who are recruited to carry out criminal activities like internet fraud, Hacking and so on. Other suspected fraudsters working for him were also arrested at his Estate also in Lagos.
The suspected criminals are between the ages of 18 and 35 years. They were arrested and brought to the EFCC Ibadan zonal office for further investigation. They said that they will be charged to court as soon as the investigation are concluded.
Three vehicles, laptops, mobile phones and some other gadgets which contained fraudulent data were recovered from the suspects.
