19 cows belonging to Fulani cattle rearers were killed by lightning bolts oo Saturday 23rd November in Iba, headquarters of Ifelodun Area Office of Osun State.

19 cows were struck to death at a farm called Apala in the outskirts of Iba. It happened to be that the Cows were owned by Fulani cattle rearers living among the people of Iba, Osun state.

“The Fulani natives have over the years lived in peace with the people of Iba, so we hope this will not cause any disaffection or tragedy between them.

“The death of the cows belonging to the Fulani natives living among us was a natural occurrence caused by lightning that struck in the town" - Oba Adekunle of Iba.
 The community of Iba, with the collaboration of the leadership of the Fulani community, are on top of the situation.
